After more than two decades in the media industry, we are repositioning ourselves. The new realmaker website is not just a visual update – it documents a fundamental shift in how we work and in our range of services. Alongside classic media production, artificial intelligence moves to the center of what we offer. The future isn’t tomorrow. The future is now.
22 years of realmaker: a journey through the digital revolution
When I founded realmaker in 2003, the digital world looked completely different. Facebook didn’t exist, YouTube was still two years away, and the iPhone was science fiction. Websites were built with framesets, videos were shot on Mini-DV, and “going viral” wasn’t a term yet.
Since then, I have not just lived through every technological change but actively helped shape it. From the first Flash animations to the triumph of WordPress, from SD to HD to 4K, from local servers to the cloud, from static websites to dynamic web applications. Each of these changes has shaped, improved and expanded our work.
But what we are experiencing now is different. Artificial intelligence is not simply the next technology in a long line of innovations. AI is a paradigm shift that changes everything – how we work, what we can offer and what results are possible for our clients.
Why now? Why a completely new website?
The honest answer: our old website could no longer show who we are today and what we can do today. It was good – but it told yesterday’s story.
Over the last two to three years, our workflows have changed faster and more fundamentally than in the fifteen years before. AI tools have found their way into practically every area of our work. What used to take days, we now do in hours. What once seemed impossible is now routine. And what used to be reserved for large corporations with six-figure budgets, we can now deliver for small and mid-sized companies as well.
This transformation had to become visible. Not as a marketing gimmick, but as an honest portrayal of what realmaker means in 2026: a creative agency that combines classic media expertise with cutting-edge AI technology.
The three pillars of realmaker: film, web and now AI
Our DNA stays the same: we help companies tell their story and reach their goals. But the tools and possibilities have expanded.
Film production: craft meets technology
A compelling corporate film, an emotional recruiting video or a professional product presentation – these still require creative concepts, high-quality equipment, experience in lighting and camera work, and above all: a sense for storytelling that can’t be automated.
But AI makes us faster and more precise in post-production. Automated transcription for subtitles, AI-assisted color correction, intelligent audio editing that removes background noise in seconds – all of this means: more time for creative work, faster delivery times for our clients, and often lower costs as well, with consistently high quality.
Web design: from digital craft to intelligent platform
A website is long past being just a digital business card. It is salesperson, customer adviser, recruiting tool and brand platform in one. With WordPress and the Gutenberg editor, we rely on a system that gives our clients maximum flexibility and control.
Integrating AI opens up entirely new possibilities: chatbots that answer visitor questions in real time. Personalized content that adapts to user behavior. Automated lead qualification that saves your sales team time.
A website from realmaker is no longer just beautiful and fast – it actively works for your business.
AI solutions: the new pillar of our portfolio
And then there is the area that has grown explosively over the last two years: custom AI solutions for small and mid-sized companies. No abstract research projects, but practical tools that create value immediately.
An intelligent chatbot for your website that answers customer inquiries, schedules appointments and pre-qualifies leads – around the clock, with no waiting times. Automated workflows that take over repetitive tasks and give your employees time for value-adding work. Custom GPT assistants trained on your company data that make internal knowledge accessible.
The best part: what was still enterprise-level two years ago and required six-figure investments is now affordable and feasible for smaller companies too.
Why AI changes everything – and why that is good news
I understand the skepticism some people have toward artificial intelligence. “Doesn’t it replace jobs?” “Will everything become more impersonal?” “Isn’t it all just hype?” These are legitimate questions, and I want to answer them honestly.
AI doesn’t replace creativity. It doesn’t replace human empathy, a sense of aesthetics or industry expertise built over years. What it replaces are repetitive tasks, time-consuming routines and technical hurdles that used to stand between an idea and its realization.
An example from our practice: I used to spend hours manually transcribing interview recordings to create subtitles. Today an AI tool does it in minutes – with an accuracy that exceeds my own. I invest the time saved in better cuts, more creative transitions, finer color grading. The end result is not more impersonal – it is better.
Or think of customer service: a well-designed chatbot doesn’t take work away from your employees. It answers the same standard questions over and over, so your team can focus on complex inquiries that really need human attention. That isn’t dehumanization – that is relief.
The democratization of technology
What fascinates me most about current developments: barriers are falling. Technologies that only tech giants with huge development teams and million-dollar budgets could use a few years ago are now open to every company.
It reminds me of the early 2000s, when the internet began to revolutionize commerce. Suddenly a small craft business from Haßfurt could reach customers all over Germany. Suddenly visibility was no longer just a question of marketing budget, but of creativity and strategy.
AI is the next step in this democratization. A mid-sized machine builder can now implement AI-powered customer service that can compete with that of a global corporation. A local service provider can automate processes that give it a real competitive advantage.
Not because it has more money, but because it is faster and bolder.
This is exactly where I see our role: we help companies understand and use these new possibilities. Not with exaggerated promises, but with pragmatic solutions that create real value.
What a time to work in this industry
I have to admit: after 22 years in the media industry, I am as excited as I have been in a long time. Not because everything has become easier – on the contrary, complexity has increased. But the possibilities have exploded.
A year ago I wouldn’t have thought that today we would be developing chatbots that hold natural conversations while drawing on company-specific knowledge. Two years ago, AI-generated images were a curiosity – today they are part of our toolbox for quick concept visualizations and mockups.
The speed of development is breathtaking. Every month brings new tools, new possibilities, new use cases. For someone who loves technology and also has a sense for aesthetics and communication, it is like a huge playground that keeps expanding.
But – and this is important – it takes experience to tell the truly useful tools from the hyped ones. It takes an understanding of business processes to recognize where AI creates real value and where it would only be an expensive toy. And it takes craftsmanship to implement the technology cleanly.
22 years of experience don’t mean that we cling to outdated methods. They mean that we can put new technologies in context, understand their strengths and weaknesses, and deploy them precisely where they bring the greatest benefit.
The new website: a mirror of our transformation
Our new website is more than a pretty redesign. It is a statement. It shows what realmaker is today and what it will be tomorrow.
Here you will find our expanded portfolio with a clear structure: media production for everyone who needs moving images – from corporate films and product videos to live streaming. Web design for everyone who wants a digital presence that works instead of merely existing. And AI solutions for everyone who wants to use the opportunities of the new technology without having to become a tech expert themselves.
You will find references that show what is possible – concrete projects with real results. No abstract promises, but demonstrable value.
And you will find a direct line to me. Because at the end of the day, realmaker is always about personal relationships, trust and shared goals. Technology is the tool – the human connection remains the foundation.
In step with the times – for over two decades
realmaker has always been an agency that wanted to be at the forefront. Not for the sake of novelty, but because I am convinced that the best solutions for our clients emerge when we know and master the latest possibilities.
In 2005 that meant betting early on WordPress when many were still using expensive proprietary systems. In 2010 it meant investing in HD equipment when many competitors were still shooting in SD. In 2015 it meant making responsive design the standard when some agencies were still building separate “mobile sites.” And in 2025 it means seeing AI not as a threat but as a tool that makes our work better.
This attitude has proven itself. Not every trend turned out to be lasting – but those who get in early can tell what stays and what disappears.
And AI will stay. It will keep developing, changing, taking new forms – but it won’t go away again. The benefit is too great, the progress too fundamental.
What does this mean for you?
Perhaps you are reading this article because you are wondering how AI could move your business forward. Perhaps you need a new corporate film and are asking yourself what is possible today. Perhaps your website has aged and it’s time for something new. Or perhaps you are simply curious what drives realmaker.
In any case, I want to tell you one thing:
The possibilities have never been as great as they are today. And they will become even greater. The question is not whether you engage with these changes – the question is when.
I look forward to taking this path with you. With the experience of 22 years, with the curiosity of a beginner and with the best tools there have ever been.
The future doesn’t wait. Let’s get started together.

Frequently asked questions about the new direction
Does realmaker still offer classic video production?
Absolutely. Film production remains a core area of our work. Corporate films, recruiting videos, product presentations, event documentation, live streaming – we continue to offer all of it. The difference: we use AI tools to work more efficiently and deliver even better results. Nothing changes in the creative quality and the personal approach.
Do I need to know about AI to work with realmaker?
Not at all. That is exactly our job: we translate complex technology into practical solutions. You don’t need to know how a large language model works to benefit from an intelligent chatbot. You define the goal – we find the way.
Aren’t AI solutions very expensive?
That is a widespread misconception. Two years ago, a custom AI chatbot would indeed have been a project in the high five-figure range. Today we can often implement such solutions for a fraction of that. The technology has been democratized – and that is exactly what makes current developments so exciting. Get in touch, and together we’ll see what is possible within your budget.
Does realmaker work only regionally or also nationwide?
Both. Our roots are in Haßfurt, Bavaria, and we enjoy working with companies from the region. But especially in web and AI, location hardly matters anymore. We support clients all over Germany and beyond. For film projects we are mobile anyway and come to you – no matter where you are.
