Proven on my own product: I built the shop, license server and client portal of the Offenlegungs-XML Editor (my tool for XML disclosure files of annual financial statements) myself, and I run them myself.
From download to license
Offenlegungs-XML Editor – own product
The software can be tried for free. For production export it is unlocked by a license – bought in the own shop, activated through the own license server, managed in the own client portal.

Activation online; for company networks without internet also via device ID and unlock code.

Frequently asked questions
WooCommerce or a custom solution?
Where WooCommerce fits, I build on it and extend it, for example with custom pricing logic. Where it doesn’t, the result is a standalone solution like the own software shop.
Which payment methods are possible?
The ones your customers expect. In the own shop, customers pay via PayPal; larger license packages also by bank transfer.
Can licenses be activated without internet?
Yes. For company networks without internet access there is offline activation via device ID and unlock code.
What does a project cost?
It depends on the scope. After the requirements analysis, clearly defined projects get a fixed price – so you know the cost up front. Ongoing support I bill as a block of hours or a flat fee.
Is there support after launch?
Yes. I continue to look after your software – with maintenance, updates and further development, as a block of hours or a monthly flat fee.
